WASHINGTON (AP/WVOC) - Amtrak is canceling some of its trains again Thursday and modifying the schedules for others because of the winter storm that's battering the Northeast and the South.
Amtrak has canceled Auto Train, Crescent, Carolinian, Palmetto and Piedmont trains. The Silver Meteor is canceled from New York to Miami and the Silver Star will operate south from Jacksonville.
Acela Express trains between Washington and Boston, Northeast Regional trains between Boston and Norfolk, Virginia, Keystone Service between New York and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Empire Service between New York and Albany, New York, are operating at reduced frequency or modified schedules Thursday.
Amtrak says it is contacting customers and changing reservations.
