Richland County authorities are looking for a man they say burglarized a home damaged by fire – twice.
The sheriff's department says late the night of January 17th, deputies found Allan Morgan inside the home in the 600 block of Folkstone Road.
He told officers the owners had given him permission to take any items he could salvage.
Sheriff's Sergeant Curtis Wilson says, “We were unable to locate the victims for a few days due to the fact that they were not living at the home and we had no contact information from them. But we were able to take information from Morgan and get his identification and so forth.
“Come to find out that after we were able to locate the victims, they never gave Allan Morgan permission to take anything out of the home.”
Wilson says Morgan made at least two visits to the damaged home and stole furniture and appliances.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Crimestoppers.
