Lexington County Sheriff's Department narcotics investigators, in cooperation with the State Law Enforcement Division, seized 20 illegal gambling devices on November 27th near West Columbia.
The Pot-O-Gold video poker gaming machines were inside a mobile home being used as a storage building at 3176 Greenwood Drive.
Sheriff James Metts says 66-year-old David Chase owns the property and lives in a second mobile home there. Investigators continue to investigate Chase's involvement with the illegal gambling devices.
At about 3:38 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies responded to a call concerning a break-in at the mobile home where the devices were stored.
Chase told deputies a man opened the front door and ran away. Deputies have not yet identified the man.
Officers contacted narcotics investigators when they found the illegal gambling machines inside the mobile home, along with furniture and other items that appear to have been used in a bar.
