Man Sought for Questioning in Shooting Death

Kershaw County authorities want to question a man in connection with a shooting death where the victim was found in a car crash.

A sheriff's deputy responding to the wreck about 5:30 Saturday morning along Black River Road near Camden found 25-year-old Antwan Dixon behind the wheel of a burning car that was in a ditch.

The Camden man had been shot in the head and died later that evening.

Investigators want to talk with 22-year-old Robert Simon about the time leading up to Dixon's shooting.

Sheriff Jim Matthews says Simon is not a suspect at this time.

He's believed to be driving a 2000 Honda Civic DX with a broken passenger-side window and South Carolina tag JAQ 444.

Simon has ties to Kershaw, Richland and Sumter counties and anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Kershaw County Sheriff's Office at 425-1512 and ask for Investigator Taylor or call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
