A male nurse is accused of inappropriate behavior with a 16-year-old male patient at a medical facility near West Columbia.
Arrest warrants allege that on January 14th, 28-year-old Kerston Turner of Lugoff unlawfully induced the teen patient to engage in a sexual performance.
“Turner offered to conduct a secretive medical screening test on the 16-year-old boy in a restroom as a ploy to engage the boy in the sexual performance, which Turner observed while in the restroom with the boy,” says Lexington County Sheriff's Major John Allard.
“The screening test, which was not medically necessary, was not documented in the teen's medical file.”
Allard says an investigation began when the boy's mother took her son to a hospital for examination after the teen told her what happened with the male nurse.
Turner is charged with engaging a child under age 18 in a sexual performance and first-degree assault and battery.
