Columbia police say a suspect has been charged in a strong-arm robbery in Five Points.
Two male victims told police they were walking in an alley shortly before 3 a.m. on October 26th near the 700 block of Saluda Avenue when 19-year-old Paul Coleman demanded their belongings.
Police say Coleman fled with some cash and a smart phone.
We're told he was out on bond on a robbery charge from Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
Meanwhile, investigators continue to look into an armed robbery that happened about 1 a.m. on October 27th.
A victim told police he was walking alone near the railroad tracks in the 2300 block of Greene Street when two males approached and demanded his belongings.
Both suspects ran after taking cash and a smart phone.
Police are trying to determine if the two robberies are related.
Investigators are still seeking identification on four remaining “persons of interest” regarding ongoing cases.
